The state of Texas has made a bit a noise in terms of high-level basketball recruits over the past years and keeping that tradition going is 2025 G Aniya Foy.  In terms of production out on the court, she is one of a few players nationally that checks off all the boxes.  The Katy native, just west of the Houston area, is the key player for a talented Cinco Ranch High School. The fact that she loves to be in the gym improving on all aspects of her game is the big reason she has what it takes to be mentioned among the top players nationally.

In terms of national level elite talent, Foy has it all. Standing at 6’0, she is the perfect size and build of a modern-day elite guard. She has a tight handle and always keeps the ball on a string when in the open floor or in the half court.  She has elite court vision and the ability to pass the basketball in tight spaces. Foy is the ultimate playmaker who never takes the foot off the gas while on offense. She can get to the rim with ease in the half court and finish with either hand at the rim. Countless hours have been put in improving her three-point shot over the past year and is now a legit three level scorer. In the open court she is always in attack mode and does not make mistakes. Although she is only a freshman, she is a learning to become vocal leader and has all the right attributes that translates into winning basketball. Defensively her speed and size allow her to guard multiple positions at the high school level. She anticipates well and get a lot of deflections and steals that lead to easy transition baskets.

Foy is a very smart and sound player who understands defensive positioning and how to box out. She is an exceptionally good rebounding guard, and this skill set will translate well for her when she is at the collegiate level. Foy is the ultimate competitor and that is the reason many of the top college programs across the country are lining for a front seat to try and get her on campus after she is done competing at the high school level.
